Toshiba has announced the Portégé Z20t, a 2-in-1 detachable PC, set to rival Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3.
The device comes with a Wacom pen input and features a reversible keyboard dock.
The tablet alone weighs 1.6 pounds and when combined with the keyboard dock weighs 3.3 pounds.
A Full HD IPS 12.5-inch display offers 10-point multi-touch support for both Windows 8.1 and 7 Professional, as well as anti-fingerprint and anti-glare coatings.
Plus, it is powered by Intel Core M processors and comes with a 128GB or 256GB SSD.
The Portégé Z20t is priced at $1,399 (£917), and will also be sold without the keyboard in February with a price of $899 (£591).
This news comes after TV star Lord Sugar was accused of writing ‘paid-for’ posts promoting the Toshiba Portégé Z930 on Twitter.
Toshiba has also announced its new solid state hybrid drive (SSHD) series.
The range is equipped with Toshiba’s 19nm second-generation NAND flash memory.
The MQ02ABD100H SSHD offers a capacity of 1TB in a drive 9.5mm high, while the MQ02ABF050H offers a capacity of 500GB in a drive 7mm high.
